Muncy Township supervisors approve property sale

MUNCY The Muncy Township Supervisors unanimously agreed to sell the 87 Quaker Church Road public property to Josh Lidecker for $235,000 in an in-person meeting on Wednesday, June 10.

Lidecker plans on using the property for rentals and small businesses when proper paperwork and the terms and conditions are signed and transferred for the sale.

In another matter, the supervisors unanimously approved line painting and tar and chip bids for 2020.

Midlantic Marking Inc. was chosen as the winning bid for both single white and double yellow line painting in the township totaling $3,493.90 for both jobs.

Bids went to Hammaker East for $39,063.45 for a single coat and for $60,918.18 for a double coat. Hammaker East has done its tar and chip before.

In a different business matter, the supervisors also unanimously agreed to a sewage module for the Sarginger subdivision. After approval, it will be going to the state Department of Environmental Protection for review.

The next Muncy Township Supervisors meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m., July 8 at their building on Pond Road.
