Muncy Locals Aug. 28, 2019

Despite the number of coinciding events scheduled outside of Muncy last week, the Fourth Friday street festival in Muncy still drew a good-sized crowd. Williamsport held their annual Welcome to the World festival during the final week of the Little League World Series, while Friday night football kicked off with the first scheduled game for all school districts in the county. While attending the August event to secure photos for this week's issue, I was delighted to meet a very distant relative during the course of the evening. Hats off to the MPBA for once again providing Fourth Friday!

School for Muncy students resumes on Tuesday, Sept. 3, the day after labor Day. An open house for Ward L. Myers Elementary School is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 29, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Due to renovations at the high school, no orientation for 7th grade students has been scheduled. School picture will be taken on Tuesday, Sept. 17 for grades K-2 and Wednesday, Sept. 18 for grades 3-6.
