Died in this Borough on Friday morning, Jan. 29, Mr. Guy M. Ellenberger.

Died in his Borough, on the 28th ult., Henry William Brindle, son of Justin A. and Rebecca R. Ward, aged 8 years, 11 months and one day.

The eclipse of the moon on Wednesday evening last was not witnessed in this locality, owing to the cloudy weather.

1924

Samuel, 8 months old, son of MR. and MRs. Lester Sedam died Monday noon of pneumonia.

The Rt. Rev. Henry J. Darlington, Bishop of the Harrisburg Diocese, will administer the rite of confirmation will deliver the Sermon at St. James on Sunday morning.

Petitions are being circulated in Montoursville for mail delivery service and are meeting with great approval by the residents of the upriver town.

Miss Dorothy Irene Feigles and William Brenisen were united in marriage Monday evening.

Muncy again retained her position for generosity by standing first in the line of Boroughs of Lycoming County in the amount of Red Cross membership.

Doris Taylor, 8-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Taylor, injured her leg when roller skating Friday.

Born to MR. and MRs. William Pegg at the Muncy Valley Hospital on Monday, a daughter.

Muncy experienced with the rest of this section of the country an intense cold wave which began the first of the week with temperatures ranged very close to zero for several nights and the days were anything but balmy.

Pvt. Oscar W. Boyer, 20, of Muncy reported missing in action-Parents of Muncy R.D. Boy Received Word from War Department-Missing In Italy Since December 20

Mrs. Ida Shale Sevison, of Muncy, died Sunday night, Jan. 30.

Funeral services were held for Howard E. McCarty, 61, who died at his home on Jan. 30. Mr. McCarty was a former resident of Muncy.

James Stewart Brown, 80, Black Hole Valley, died Thursday after a brief illness.

Miss Makude Alta Turner, aged 63, died Monday morning, Jan. 31.

Pvt. Wayne Burkholder, son of Mr. and Mrs William Burkholder, is home on a twenty-day furlough from the Pacific war area, having contracted malaria.

Robert Webster, son Bobby and daughter Jeane and Charles Aderhold of Hughesville were recent callers here.

Mrs. Stuart Reed, Pennsdale, is teaching the Newman school this week substituting for Miss Kohler who is caring for her mother who is ill.

Arline Dewald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dewald and Gordon Rider, son of Benjamin Rider were unite din marriage Wednesday evening, Jan. 26.

The Unityville artist, David Armstrong, appeared on the "Time With Carol" television show on Jan. 21.

MHS wrestler Dave Nuss was named athlete of the week and received an emblematic plaque from James Balliet of the sponsoring Muncy Jaycees.

Elizabeth Finkler and Cheryl Gresh plan to attend district band at Bald Eagle Nittany on Jan. 26. Elizabeth plays the trombone and Cheryl plays the saxophone.
