Married-On the 16th inst., in Muncy Creek township, G. Morris Webb, of Muncy, to Miss Mary E. Worthington, of Penn township.

The public schools and the normal schools opened on Monday with about 200 scholars.

The new Penn street sewer is in and the engineer, Capt. Lloyd, and Street Commissioner Eshbach have, to all appearances, done a good job.

The Watsontown Record calls for slower speed by railroad trains through speed by railroad trains through that town, and says that four cows were killed by the fast line east last week.

The public schools opened on Monday. The teachers this year are Emerson Collins, principal; W.F. Peoples, Miss Sallie Kirk, F.C. Ruffhead, Miss Mazie Trumbower, Miss Mame Delancy and Miss Mattie Schuyler.

Oysters every Sunday at the Muncy bakery.

There are a good many pupils from the neighboring townships attending the Muncy Public schools.

Invitation have been issued for the wedding of Miss Edith Bailey, of this place, and Paul W. Rishell, of Mass.

Wedding announced of Edyth Lowler to Charles Scott App, formerly of this place, on Oct. 17.

Killed in Auto Accident Sunday-Ruth Kint, aged 24 years, an operator of the White Deer Telephone company at the Maple Hill exchange, whose home is at Montgomery, suffered a fracture of the skull.

Area girls to represent schools in Flaming Foliage Festival-Amy Hall, Hughesville; Lisa Satteson, Montgomery; Anne Konkle, Muncy.

The Hughesville Business and Professional Women's Club has once again created a "Christmas Memories" ball. Chosen for 1992 is the Hughesville Fire Company to celebrate their centennial.

The Ward L. Myers Elementary School has named Wendy Dilcher, sixth grade, and Brett Johnson, fifth grade, as Writers of the Month.
