Married-George Eckert Dimm, and Isabella Farenbach, both of Muncy.

Died-In East Muncy, Aug. 27, Maggie, daughter of Geo. D. Keller, aged 23 years.

In Muncy township, MOnday, Aug. 27, infant son of Levi Edwards; In Muncy Creek township, Aug. 27, infant son of Charles Poust; In Muncy Creek township, Aug. 26, infant son of Pierson Shick; In this borough, Aug. 24, Wanton B. Green, aged 72 years; In this borough, on Aug. 28, Mrs. Martha L. Bowen, aged 78 years.

The tobacco store of Ellis Gundrum was robbed of a quantity of cigars and tobacco and some money, Wednesday evening.

Jacob Sheridan has just completed a fine set of double, harness for J.A.J. Sheets, Esq., of Philadelphia.

Gordon F. Reed, of East Muncy, is studying medicine with Dr. G.G. Wood.

Friday, Aug. 28, 1885

132 years ago

Died-In this borough, Friday morning, AGu. 21, Charles S. Riddell, aged 35 years.

On Wednesday evening of last week the residence of James W. Fredericks, just beyond the P. & R. crossing on West Water street, was burglarized, silverware, jewelry and other valuables s being taken, the whole amounting to a considerable sum.

A camp fire is to be held at Soars' Grove under the auspices of Col. John D. Musser POst, G. A.R., on Sept. 24, 25, 26. The comrades have just made a road down into the grove just opposite the cemetery gate and are going to dig a well. Commander Waldron says that they expect a big crowd.

Samuel Doctor, who was a native of Muncy, died at his home in White Rock, Ill, on the 8th inst., after an illness of three months.

Will Craw, an old Muncy boy, is the manager of the side show with the Hurlburst & Hunting circus, which showed here last Saturday.

Class of 35 will receive diplomas Friday evening exercises of Muncy Normal in Educational Hall.

It's 776 miles from Muncy to Fort Hancock-Railraod fare is $19.46 for one way ticket but you can go cheaper by water route.

Muncy boys with Batter D-John Gruver; Daniel Haper Dykins, Willard Johnson, Charles Umlauf, Clyde HIll, Giovanni Damario.

Haper Dykins, a member of Batter D in Williamsport, walks to that place nearly every day from Muncy, where he spends the night. He is accompanied occasionally by Charles Umlauf, another Muncy member of the battery.

Married-on Aug. 22, Rev. H. C. Haithcox, D.D., and Mrs. Margaret Lied.

David Dunlap, 11-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. William Dunlap, of Muncy, met with a serious accident Thursday afternoon. With several other boys he was playing in a barn, when he fell from a hay loft, striking in such a manner as to break his left arm at the elbow joint.

Died-Hiram Edwards, one of the best known citizens and farmers of Muncy Creek township, and who has been in ill health fro several years past, suffered a stroke of paralysis on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 19, aged 75 years; Thomas W. Lore, aged fifty-seven years, died at his home at Gordner Settlement, ear Unityville, on Friday.
