Snow fell in various parts of the county Thursday.

the new paint mill of R.E. Gray, at the junction of the Muncy and West Branch canals, is in operation.

J.C. Menagh, formerly of Bloomsburg, has opened a jewelry store on Main street, next door north of the First National bank.

Major Isaac Bruner has made arrangements by which he will receive power to run his planning machinery from the engine connection with P.M. Trumbower’s machine shop.

A meeting will be held at the Herdic House, Williamsport, today, for the purpose of organizing a fruit growers’ society for Lycoming county.

Married-At the Evangelical parsonage, Hughesville, May 11, by Rev. W.H. Lilley, William W. Shaffer, of Williamsport, and Miss Mary Buss, of Muncy.

The Muncy baseball club met at their rooms on Thursday and elected officers for the season.

William B. Smith intends building two more tenant houses on West Penn street.

A pavement of wide flagstones has been laid in front of William B. Kelly’s residence

Prof. Riddell is having the cellar dug for his residence on the hill.

Headline-Urges That Children Work on the Farm-Scholars Should Attend Spring Sessions and Help Harvest Crops in the Fall

Muncy will furnish 117 men for draft register Tuesday.

Saturday afternoon two children were run down by a careless motorcyclist and one painfully injured.

Miss Hannah Artley McConnel, of Muncy, and P. Albert Double, of Pittsburgh, were united in marriage.

Died: Mary Frontz VanDine passed away Saturday last, at the ripe old age of ninety two years; William D. Morton died at his home on South Market street, Wednesday afternoon, aged 87 years and 19 days; George Drick, of Halls, died Friday morning, about 86 years; Oscar Corson, aged 55 years, found dead in bed at his boarding house in Montgomery last Friday morning.
