The barn of Wm. McCarty, residing on Glade Run, was entered at a late hour Friday night of last week and a sheep skin, horse blanket and quantity of grain stolen. The same parties broke open the school house, near the residence of Mr. McCarty, and stole a quantity of school books and shamefully defiled the building.
P.M. Trumbower is a candidate for sheriff.
Died: At White Pigeon, Mich., Saturday, Jan. 20, Jeremiah A. Rogers, formerly of Muncy township, aged 50 years.

Our new engine was made at P. M. Trumbower’s foundry, some parts being after drawings made by our scientific young townsman, Frank O. Lloyd.
The Keystone Pain company has two men, J.D. Melick and J. F. Leinbach, on the road this month.
Messrs. Waldron & Sprout are manufacturing lignin vitae rollers for roller skates at their factory. They had them tested at the Muncy rink.
The gold medal won by Miss Annie Frymire, at the Union rink not long since, is very pretty.
Rev. Cressman has accepted the call to the pastorate of the Muncy Lutheran.

Harry Russel, of Williamsport, and Sarah Margaret Snyder, of Muncy, were married on Jan. 10.
Wool has taken its place among the Pennsylvania crops for 1916 and established a record.
Employees of the silk mill and the woolen mill enjoyed a sleigh ride to Hughesville Thursday evening.
Lewis Artley has secured the position of foreman in the foundry of the Valley Iron works in Williamsport.
Louis Faneman, of Okome, was given a hearing in Jersey Shore last Friday on a charge of refusing to assist a state forester in fighting a forest fire. Frank Sevison has torn down the old barn in the rear of his property on South Main street, and will erect thereon in a short time a modern fireproof garage of concrete.
Died: D.P. Guise, veteran of Civil War, died at his residence on South Market street Sunday, after an illness of a few days of pneumonia, aged seventy-eight years, ten months and seven days; Henry Bitler died at his home at Opp last Friday aged eighty-seven years; Miss Mary Miller died at her home on South Main street, Saturday morning, aged forty-six; Benton Sevison, of Hughesville, aged fifty-eight years, died suddenly at his home in that place.

The Muncy School district board has flatly rejected a renewed plea form the Williamsport Area Community College asking that the district become a participating member of the WACC program.

Mr. and Mrs. Roland Fry, Hughesville, announced the engagement of their daughter, Patricia Ann Fry, to Charles Lauchle, Hughesville.
