Married-At the residence of the bride's mother, Mrs. Sarah A. Lilley, in this borough, Dec. 20, Fred A. Laner, of Scranton, and Miss Allie M. Lilley.

Died: In this borough, on the 18th inst., Fleming W. Edwards, aged 44 years; In Muncy Creek township, on the 15th inst., Isaac Buss, aged 82 years.

Wednesday morning it was 12 degrees below zero.

A meeting of the Women's Christian Association will be held at the Y.MC.A. rooms on Dec. 23.

A. P. Taylor went to York state Tuesday for the third time for apples.

The pupils of Misses Trumbower and Mame Delaney, primary teachers in our public schools gave their instructors s surprise party Tuesday evening.

The skating rink is handsomely decorated with evergreens.

Sever new houses are to be built on West Penn street in spring. This street is bound to become popular and we doubt not, in a few years, there will be a good many fine houses on it between the M.E. church and Reading dept.

Monday morning we sent three pamphlets, descriptive of the exercises of the unveiling of the Brady monument, to England, one going to the British Museum, London.

Jersey Shore Had a $90,000 fire on Monday-Masonic Temple Totally Destroyed and Two Large Buildings Were Damaged.

Miss Margaret Edwards and Charles E. Strouse were united in marriage on Saturday afternoon at Shamokin.

Miss Florence B. Hall, of town, and B. Chester Boyer, of Hughesville, were united in marriage Saturday evening at 7:30.

Miss Emma E. Miller, formerly of Muncy, and Edward Tomlin, were married on Dec. 13.

After a separation of forty years Jeremiah Kemery, of Montgomery, and Mrs. Annetta L. Johnson, formerly of this place a resident of Winfield, Kas., met again. Old ties were united and on Monday evening a pretty wedding was solemnized in Muncy. His is sixty-four and the bride sixty.

Died: Mary Jane Edwards Brosius, of this place, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Francis Templin, at Williamsport, on Friday last, aged 76 years; Miss Elizabeth Butler, formerly of Muncy Creek Township, passed away at her home at South Dakota on Saturday, aged 49 years; George Kiess died Monday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.P. Gray, in PIcture Rocks, aged 81 years; Mrs. Elmer Fry, died at her home in Montoursville; Daniel W. Wendel, agent for the Pennsylvania railroad at Watsontown and formerly of Muncy, died Dec. 18.

Miss Donna Ault, Muncy high school senior, has been named DAR winner for the school.

Curtis (Pop) Guisewhite marked his 60th birthday last week in a most unusual fashion,m roller skating at Trout Pond Roller Rink, where he can been seen regularly during the past four years.

Lee Barnes, Muncy native who has made it big as photographer for Grit, reveals he has sold his home in Montoursville, and plans on building a new residence in Eagles Mere next spring.

A unique gift is to be presented tele-viewers Christmas Eve, when, for three uninterrupted hours, WPIX TV/11's color cameras, in close-up, will be trained on a flickering Yule log in a cheery fireplace.

Miss Gael Vial, Muncy, and Ray Edward Rothfuss, Jr., married Dec. 9.
