Vehicle collides with horse-drawn buggy

ELIMSPORT - Two women were transported to area hospitals last Monday morning after a vehicle collided with a horse-drawn buggy, according to a Washington Township Volunteer Fire Co. official.

The collision heavily damaged the buggy on Bob Drick Road near Route 44 in Washington Township about 9:40 a.m. One of the horses reportedly had to be euthanized, according to reports at the scene.

Township Fire Chief Brett Ulrich confirmed that "two females were transported from the scene."

State police are investigating the accident, Ulrich said.
