Hughesville 35, Central Mountain 21

The Spartan defense took control in the second half of the game and didn't allow Central to get a first down until late in the fourth quarter as Hughesville defeated the Wildcats, 35-21.

Quarterback Landon Henry finished the night 12 for 13 with 158 passing yards and accounted for three touchdown passes, including the final two of the night. Henry threw, wide receiver Brenden Gardner, a 17-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to give Hughesville its second lead of the game and hit Gardner with another touchdown pass in the fourth to give the Spartans a 14-point lead.

Hughesville started the game with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Henry to Ryan McClain in the first four minutes of the game. Hughesville's Jase Wright had 11 carries for 57 yards including a touchdown from eight yards out in the second quarter. McClain led in rushing with 22 carries for 122 yards while Gardner led the team in receiving with 5 catches for 94.

Indians defeated by Troy

Gerard Alpaugh scored his first two varsity touchdowns, but Muncy lost at Troy, 48-14. Adam Deitrick led the Indians in receiving with four complete passes for 48 yards in the loss. Alpaugh finished the night with 31 yards rushing. Quarterback Coleman Good completed 9 of 16 passes for a total of 87 yards and rushed for 34 yards.

Red Raiders fall to Cowanesque Valley

Cowanesque Valley's defense had five sacks as it defeated Montgomery, 23-6. Eithan Marino and Keith Habersham combined for 101 yards for the Red Raiders in the loss.
