The District 4 competitive cheer championships were held Saturday at Shamokin High School, with Hughesville, Troy, Midd-West, Milton, and Warrior Run sending squads to the PIAA championships Jan. 22-23.

The Hughesville, above, along with their coaches, won the small varsity division with 197.5 points, while Troy was second with 163, Canton third with 141, and Shamokin fourth with 133.5. The team is coached by Erin Clementoni, head coach; and volunteer coaches, Alexis Wharf and Stacey Polandro. This is the second time that a team from Hughesville has won the title since the competition started.
